Bill’s Restaurant in Manchester – dinner

After 6 years together here we are…who would have thought? In a different country,in beautiful Manchester, surrounded by great people, great food, and making some lovely memories…Cheers!

We discovered Bill’s Restaurant just wandering arround, trying to find a cozy place to have our dinner.

I got the watermelon and raspbery smoothie ,while Nick wanted to try a red wine.

Nick wanted to go straight for a main, but I insisted to share a starter,so we went for the veggie board (£9.95) and we got this amazing food, with lots of humus. I remember that my favourite was the one with the dried tomatoes and the olives where amazing as well. The tortillas were too spicy for me , but the piadina bread with the hummus was dreamy.

For my main I ordered the lime and coriander chicken (£12.50), even if I had second thoughts before receiving my dish because I wasn’t sure if I really wanted chicken ,after I got my plate I realised that I made the best decision ever.

In my plate there was literally half a chicken(!!) with a divine smoked-grill taste, served with a really good coleslaw(without onion ) a sourly mayo and the best friench fries that I have tasted in my life- sweet potato fries.

I couldn’t eat all my food, it was such a big portion for the value of the money, but even if I was full I just continued eating, until I felt my dress getting really tight on me,it was THAT good.

I didn’t leave any room for dessert.

Nick tasted my chicken  , but he was also very happy with his pick:’I got the beef steak . I have also ordered some broccoli  and peppercorn sauce which blended perfectly with the meat.Instead of the french fries,I asked them to change them with mashed potatoes, and they where happy to do it. Great food at a great price!’
